Biography
Sara was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming. As a Wyoming native, she completed her Associate Degree in Nursing at Casper College while working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the operating room. In her early years of nursing, she helped to build a neurosurgical program in Casper while earning the Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) credential. This mark of distinction led her on a path to pursue her education further. Her commitment to the nursing field brought her to earning her Master’s Degree at Walden University in 2020. Sara is a Sigma Theta Tau Member, National Society of Leadership and Success Member, Sigma Alpha Pi Member, The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology member, and a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
As a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) for Memorial Hospital of Converse County, she works directly with our comprehensive spine surgeons and pain interventionists ensuring our spine patients get timely and appropriate care. She is often seen in the clinics or assisting our surgeons during complex surgeries. Sara has completed the NIFA first assistant program, expanding her scope of practice to provide safe and competent surgical first assisting, demonstrating her commitment to optimal patient outcomes. She holds clinics in Casper and Douglas and remains committed to serving patients across Wyoming by offering telehealth services if needed.
Sara is a busy wife and mother of four. She is often seen throughout the state cheering on her son’s High School teams or traveling to visit her older children. Sara is an avid lady angler and—combined with her love for travel—she is often found fishing new waters near and far but is more often rooted to her favorite spots right here in Wyoming. Sara is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and helps foster children find their voice in their most vulnerable times. She serves on the board of directors for the Wyoming Rescue Mission. She believes in the importance of giving more than you take and heavily instills this into her children and her everyday life.
